Introduction to Zhunan Snake Kiln

"Zhunan Snake Kiln" was established in 1972 and has gradually transformed from a traditional pottery factory to a platform for folk crafts and ceramic art creation. It is dedicated to the promotion of Taiwan's ceramic culture research and the inheritance of traditional ceramic techniques. Through diverse activities such as ceramic art creation, exhibitions, workshops, research and publications, Zhunan Snake Kiln is a dynamic entity that continuously fosters and creates Taiwan's ceramic culture. In recent years, it has focused on promoting high-temperature wood firing, becoming a space for studying and exchanging high-temperature wood firing and injecting abundant artistic energy into the area.

The residency project provides artists with a working studio, exhibition space, and accommodation. It not only enhances opportunities for ceramic art exchange but also allows artists to deeply engage with local artists, the public, different cultures, and life in Taiwan.
